Frequently Asked Questions

Text or call us at 706-473-5750.  (We can normally reply to text faster).  During certain times of the year, our next available appointment may be 4 weeks away, so please call several weeks before you want a session. Most Senior Portraits are made during the spring and summer before their senior year.

The normal studio hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 9-5.00. Yet we completely understand if you require appointments after 5 or on Saturdays. However, we do charge an additional prime time fee of 35.00 for after 5:00 and Saturday appointments.

We see people by appointment only. Please do not "drop by" . We have a 24 hour a day answering service available to you; 706-473-5750 leave a message or text us and we will get back to you as soon as we can during business hours.

Most sessions are charged a session fee. (Headshots and special events can sometimes be different.) This fee is determined by the amount of portrait work, the location, the number of subjects involved and other factors. Session fees normally begin at 200 depending on type of session. In addition to your session fee, we do require a minimum reprint purchase, usually 400.00 (Remember, this minimum does not include albums, or other items, just prints).

We are located 5 miles from Lake Oconee and 5 miles from downtown Eatonton.

The sky is the limit ! jCollins Photography offers so many photographic products and services from canvas prints, heirloom albums, custom framing, and many artistic style images. If there is something special you would like just ask us about it.

We highly encourage communication and consultations before your session.

Feel free to send us pictures of styles of portraits you like and clothing you will be bring. You can even start a Pinterest board if you want to and invite us. Or simply call or text me. Tell me what you have in mind. (706-473-5750. All of these things give us a chance to figure out the "look" that you would like your portraits to have.

What if you don't have a clue what you like? Look around at other pictures and call me. Let me help you. I have done this just a few (hundred) times. 

We do go on location for a lot of senior sessions, but we have to know your location request ahead of time.

Sure - just let us know ahead of time so we can plan.

TIP: Change your pet's collar to match your outfit and remember to bring someone with you to hold your pet while you are taking some of your images without him.

Well that is a big question ! First, let me tell you that you are welcome to bring as many outfits as you want. Once i see you and the outfits i can help you narrow them down. 

Also, let me give you a few tips...

In general, clothing that is simple and not a lot of graphics or busy patterns are best. (However if you have a favorite outfit that is not simple, bring it , we will figure it out .)

Then think about this ..
1. Do you have a color that everyone tells you looks good on you?'t
2. Do you have an outfit that you always feel like you look good in?
3. Do you have a outfit that shows of an element of yourself that you are proud of? (Blue shirt that brings out your blue eyes. Dress that shows your waist line. etc)

Tips: Don't forget to bring accessories. (Hats, jewelry, sun glasses, multiple shoes etc.). Girls, if you have long hair, bring something to pull your hair up with for a few images.
